A few years ago when I tried to stop finding out where I belong, God found me severely broken from my own sin and mercilessly beaten from the sins of others.
Then, instead of asking other men about their church, I asked God to put me where He wants. I live in the Bible belt where there is many churches of every kind with little gospel.
After that He took me on a six month very lonely journey before He delivered me to where I am now.
Is the journey over? Yes and no. When God puts you where He wants...look out!
Seek the Lord. He is real, He is not distant, and He will answer.
This is a very powerful sermon about modern churches.
A Practical Denial of the Sufficiency of Scripture An Ignorance of God A Failure to Address Man’s Malady An Ignorance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ An Ignorance of the Doctrine of Regeneration An Unbiblical Gospel Invitation Ignorance Regarding the Nature of the Church A Lack of Loving and Compassionate Church Discipline A Silence on Separation (Sanctification/Holiness) Psychology and Sociology Have Replaced the Scriptures with Regard to the Family A Lack of Self-Discipline for the Purpose of Godliness

I thought the Lord only answered the prayer of a righteous man, though. "The Prayer of a Righteous Man Availeth Much" - James 5:16: KJV Unless I'm taking it way outta context, which is very possible, I've found.
Thanks for the advice. I watch some of Paul Washer's videos every now and then, when I find the time. They're rather long for youtube videos, you know. I've actually watched, if I remember correctly, half of the video you posted (had to go to sleep for school the next day). I also want to start reading those old-school Gospel preachers Calvinists mention, like Spurgeon. I'm not exactly a bookworm or anything, so I'm not sure how well that's gonna go.
There's still a desire in me to fellowship with "Calvinists" and actually see how to live that sort of lifestyle. The "New Age" church lifestyle rubbed off on me a lot, and I've been trying to get away from it ever since like, January 2008. At that time I was listening to Faith of the Martyrs (FOTM) stuff, but stopped around May when they were exposed.
The fact that most of the Christians I know have no clue of what Calvinism is, makes me feel extremely lonely sometimes. Hence my desire to be around other Calvinists.

I think it's a good idea just to go from one to the other, that way you know who the Christians are in a given town. but that's just me.
I get a creepy feeling when people want me to go to "there church", or start elevating one church and putting another down. It just makes me want to run.
Just pray, and use your bible knowledge and God will tell you where to go. I could care less if a church agrees with my theology or not, I "became pentecostal" around 2000, but you know, I know a bunch of people at a "sort of baptist nondenom" that are out every month doing the work of Jesus, taking care of people...... wouldn't that be funny if I told them they don't have the holy ghost? you gotta look past the label, either they are family or they aren't... Either they operate like a cult and will hunt you down if you leave... or they will respect your freedom.
We're in a war, put your helmet and armor on, gird up yourself, lace yourself and get to know and use your sword. Don't forget your shield of faith... (Ephesians 6) You are the Body of Christ, so act like it. Don't be like the Veggie Tales, you know, Pirates who don't do anything... DO SOMETHING!!!!
